Before the tour, Carson, Landon and Nicole were extremely entertained by the chipmunks runnning around, thus the picture of the chipmunk.
Minnetonka Cave - Although the cave itself is millions of years old, Minnetonka Cave was first discovered by Americans in 1907, when a grouse hunter happened to find it while hunting in the forest. It is the largest cave in the state of Idaho. Minnetonka Cave is comprised mostly of limestone, and the entrance to the cave is more than 7,700 feet high. Although the entire maze of caves is not developed for touring, a substantial portion of the cave is. The section of the cave available for touring has nine separate chambers, with a ceiling height in the largest chamber, referred to as, "the Ballroom", of 90 feet. Many travelers tour Minnetonka Cave to view the limestone deposits which have formed stalactites and stalagmites over thousands of thousands of years. Some of the most intriguing stalagmites and stalactites have their own names, including, "the Bride and Groom,", "the Wedding Ring", "Kermit's Castle" and more.
When shining a flashlight on a particular formation it's shadow looks like an engine to a train. As the tour guide demonstrated if you move the flashlight, the shadow moves also. During the demonstration, humorously and somewhat innocently, Justin asks, "How is that moving?" The tour guide shot Justin a look saying, "Did you really just ask that?" It was hilarious.

Carson seemed to really enjoy the cave after we got him inside...He was hesitant to enter....hesitant about the bats that could be inside the cave. However, we didn't see any during the tour.

After Minnetonka Cave, we found a empty campsite to have our picnic dinner, cloverleaf campground. A stream ran through it as Nicole, Landon & Carson quickly discovered. They had fun playing on the log!

We stopped back in Logan on our way home and bowled at Logan Lanes. It was Carson's & Landon's first time ever bowling. We enjoyed it.

Back home! We jumped on the tramp, star gazed, watched a movie and danced in the living room.

Good times!
