My hometown: Malad City, ID. A small farming community just north of the Utah/Idaho border. My 8 siblings and I learned the meaning of hard work as we grew up on an elk ranch with lots of other farm animals and a huge garden. In high school I participated in student government, volleyball, drill team, track, peer mediation and honors society. I worked the summers at Downata Hot Springs as a lifeguard, swim instructor and assistant manager.
After high school, I attended Utah State University where I graduated with a Bachelors in Science in Biology. I have many wonderful memories of classes, lectures, lab experiments, papers, and more papers, late nights, roommates., dating, the singles ward, kappa delta and institute. I worked as a nursing aide in various capacities and volunteer with N. Logan fire and EMS also during this time.
My next endeavor was to Australia. Here I served an L.D.S. mission in Melbourne. This has been a highlight of my life. I witnessed many wonderful and miraculous events in my 18 months abroad and am very grateful for the kindness of the members and the generosity of the Australian people. This opportunity to teach the gospel of Jesus Christ as a full time missionary is undeniably the greatest experience of my life. I learned the gospel in greater depth and to taught it to anyone would listen. What a wonderful adventure and opportunity!
Upon returning home to the States in 2011, I began work for Bear River Valley Hospital in Tremonton, Utah as a certified nurses assistant. I had previously been employed with Intermountain Healthcare while at Utah State working for Logan Regional Hospital in the Behavioral Heath Unit.
Meanwhile, I attended Bridgerland Applied Technology College in 2012 and received my Licensed Practical Nurse certification that same year. I also began volunteering with Corinne Fire and E M S as an emergency medical technician and firefighter.

April of 2014 I received my ADN from Weber State University and began working as an RN for BRVH on the med/surg and mother/baby units. I love being a nurse! It requires a love of science and learning and the ability to care for others in a skillful, competent manner. I anticipate completing WSU BSN program in the Spring of 2015.
At the moment I am not married, but hope to be someday and start a family of my own.
My favorite pastimes are reading, spending time with family and catching up on sleep.
