Happy Birthday Jamie!

Today was Jamie's 24Th birthday! Court and I made lasagna, green salad, garlic bread for a birthday dinner and birthday cake for dessert. Afterwards we enjoyed the luxury of an air-conditioned apartment, lounged around and enjoyed one of our favorite pastimes, talking (or gabbing). In college, it was my tradition to make a birthday cake for each of my roommates. Jamie's birthday being in the summer made it a little more of a challenge to make a cake for her. We were both usually apart at our different summer jobs, but I have been blessed to be able to visit her on her birthday the last few years. Last summer, we (Patrick and I) went up to Alaska (summer job location) to visit Jamie on her birthday . The year before that Christina S. and I traveled to Yellowstone/Jackson Hole where Jamie was working for the summer. The summer before that she was in Logan but her then boyfriend took her to Dodgers Stadium for her birthday. I can't remember if we did anything the summer before that...we probably did?
