Share Your Story Preface

"Why should one write their life story?"

From a recent book I picked up, "If you don't do it, no one else will and no one else can! No one else knows the experiences and lessons of your life. If you don't write about your life, then the only thing people will know about you is the dash between your birth date and death date. You have much to offer. You are unique."

From President Spencer W. Kimball, "People often use the excuse that their lives are uneventful and nobody would be interested in what they have done. But I promise you that if you will keep your journals and records they will indeed be a source of great inspiration to your families, to your children, your grandchildren and others, on through the generations" ("Hold Fast to the Iron Rod," Ensign, October 1978, 4)

For something to do in my free time, I've decided to try this. We'll see how long it goes for. This marks the beginning of a series of blog posts that will be a response to a question(s) designed to help one share their personal history. I know this will be extremely boring to some, but that's okay. Even if I'm the only person who reads it, I will still be happy with it.
