Today in lab I experienced that a dull scalpel is no good and will only lead to a great deal of frustration! We dissected mice that were euthanized minutes before lab. The mouse I picked out was still warm when I picked it up.
The professor for the lab works with mice (not unusual for a scientist) and every so often he needs to "weed them out" as the TA worded it to us. So today for lab instead of electromyograms, it was mice dissection--an unexpected twist.
