Kanab, Zions & Wonderful Warm Weather!

First of all, I want to thank Justin for taking me to Kanab and Zions National Park for my birthday, James and Keri for their generous kindness & hospitality and all the phone calls, voicemails and texts from my wonderful family and friends.

We made it to Kanab Friday night. James and Keri prepared hamburgers for dinner and we had the most delicious birthday cake I think I have ever tasted. We played rummy with another couple (friends of James & Keri). It was a very enjoyable evening together.

Saturday, Justin and I went to Zions National Park. It was absolutely breathtaking! We hiked around, took lots of pictures and just enjoyed the day. That evening, James and Keri took us out to dinner at a authentic mexican restaurant. Somebody happened to mention to the waiters it was my birthday and lo and behold out they came with fried ice cream, a guitar and singing. One of the waiters took a spoonful of the whip cream off the ice cream as if he was going to spoon feed me (which I thought was quite strange but to be kind tried to go with it) when the next thing I knew, I had whip cream in my eye! Everyone had a good laugh.

Sunday: The weather was incredible. What a beautiful day! Church was very nice. I thoroughly enjoyed going with Keri to nursery. The scenic drive home was absolutely incredible. We stopped and visited with Sheldon (Grandpa Warren's brother) & also Nana and Papa in Salt Lake. Thank you Nana for the wonderful dinner!
